About the Role

Senior Helpers of Chatham County is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide one-on-one care for seniors in their homes. We follow the Senior Helpers I C.A.R.E. Approach, looking for caregivers who want to:

Reliability is crucial, as clients depend on caregivers for their safety, comfort, and daily support. Exceptional reliability and performance may lead to additional hours, preferred shifts, and advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one assistance based on each client's needs, including personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and transfers, incontinence care
• Meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation, errands, light housekeeping, and companionship
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition

Requirements

• Current CNA certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Home care or healthcare experience preferred
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and automobile insurance
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Current TB testing
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
• Ability to read and write English
• Comfortable using a smartphone/computer
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of caregiving, including lifting up to 50 lbs

Pay

• 4-12 hour shifts: $15-$16/hour, based on experience
• 2-hour shifts: $20/hour
• 1-hour shifts: $30/hour
• Overnight shifts available
• Holiday pay = time and a half (including all federal holidays, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and more)

Schedule

Schedules vary based on client needs, with daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend opportunities available.
