About the Role

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides safe, basic patient care including vital signs, assistance with daily activities, specimen collection, and observation of physical and emotional changes.

The role is based in a 20-bed General Medicine/Oncology unit caring for diverse patients with conditions such as chemotherapy, infections, heart failure, and surgical needs. The team emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered, collaborative care.

Responsibilities

  • Record patient information
  • Communicate with the care team to ensure continuity
  • Provide supervision as needed
  • Duties may vary based on department needs

Requirements

  • Must be a certified CNA with CPR certification
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • At least 6 months of healthcare experience supporting patients' physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs (preferred)
