Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assists with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and psychosocial support.
• Assists with transferring, repositioning, walking using correct techniques and equipment; provides range of motion and passive exercises.
• Completes food preparation and dining tasks, creates positive dining experience, assists with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements.
• Aids providers and nursing staff with procedures as needed.
• Documents resident interactions, outcomes, behavior, activity, and dietary; communicates changing conditions to charge nurse.
• Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas.
• Assists with wellness and recreational programs, encourages resident participation.
• May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required; minimum age 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state‑certified CNA within four months of hire (enrolled in training program or obtaining certification via endorsement).
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department‑specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits (minimum 12 hours annually).
• Maintains all department‑specific required certifications; may need Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry registration where applicable.
• May require Sanford Category II Driver classification (motor vehicle report, valid driver’s license, medically qualified per Sanford Driving Policy).

Pay

Salary range: $22.60 – $25.50 per hour. Includes a $7,500 sign‑on bonus for the FLEX role.

Schedule

• Flex role; willing to work day, evening, night, and weekend shifts as needed.
• Rotating shift schedule; weekends and holidays included.
• Weekly hours: 40.00.
• Additional shift differentials for weekend and holiday work.
