CNA 1 (GNA)

Ridgeway Rehab Center, a beautiful 61-bed skilled nursing facility located in Catonsville, Maryland, is seeking a compassionate and caring CNA-1 to join our team.

About the role

As a CNA, you will work closely with our nursing staff to provide daily support and assistance to our residents, helping with everything from personal hygiene and mobility to emotional support and companionship.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding)
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and other health indicators
• Report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff
• Support residents' emotional and social well-being with kindness and respect
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver individualized care
• Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives
• Be sensitive to residents' families and respond in an appropriate professional way as the situation requires
• Keep residents' bed, dresser, bathroom, and general living area clean and tidy
• Answer call lights promptly

Requirements

• CNA-1 certification in Maryland
• Previous experience in long-term or skilled nursing care preferred
• A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and vulnerable populations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Pay

Competitive hourly rates: $18 - $21.5 per hour
