Job Summary
The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) works under the direct supervision of the charge nurse to ensure medications are administered safely, accurately, and timely while maintaining the highest quality of resident care.
Qualifications
- Current Missouri CMT Certification
- Current Missouri CNA Certification
- BLS/CPR Certification
- Previous patient care experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Clinical Responsibilities
- Participate in shift report
- Perform routine resident care in accordance with Federal, State, Company, and facility policies and procedures
- Employ preventative and restorative care measures
- Follow infection control and handwashing procedures at all times
- Assist in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents
Administrative Responsibilities
- Promptly report changes in resident condition to the nurse supervisor
- Complete PRN documentation accurately
- Report medication reorders and supply needs
- Participate in meetings, training, and required in-services
- Inventory medications and complete designated documentation
