About the role

This role applies job skills and company policies to complete a wide range of moderately complex tasks, requiring judgment in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. The position works closely with the CNC programming group, engineers, quality leadership, and inspectors to ensure production stops are minimized.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming in CALYPSO Software (PC DMIS programming experience a plus).
  • Develop, edit, and implement existing programs on moderately complex part applications using CALYPSO software from 3D solid-models and 2D drawings.
  • Set up and prove out programs to prevent crashes and faulty outputs with minimal supervision.
  • Perform CMM programming processes, including setup and operation of mill, lathe, and/or router to machine flat and formed parts to inch and metric specifications.
  • Read engineering drawings and communicate issues relating to work orders, programming errors, material shortages, or errors.
  • Check and inspect parts to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
  • Maintain logs or other necessary documents.
  • Perform minor maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree required.
  • 4 years of related experience in CMM programming in a manufacturing environment.
  • Auditing and testing experience.
  • Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, QA applications, and databases.
  • Proficiency with software applications applicable to the job.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks successfully.

Skills

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret machine codes and blueprint specifications.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay

Annual salary range: $80,000 ($38.46/hour) - $98,000 ($47.12/hour). Actual base pay within this range will be determined based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills.
