CMM Programmer - 1st Shift Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Cudahy is looking for a CMM Programmer to join our team, reporting to the Operations Supervisor at our Aerospace Manufactory. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company that has been in business for over 30 years.

Essential job functions

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of castings to determine conformance to blueprint or electronic file requirements
• Interpret geometrically dimensioned and tolerance engineering drawings
• Perform First Article Inspection Reports using AS9102 Forms as required
• Work with dimensional inspection measurement equipment such as surface plate, sine plates, height gages, radii gages, calipers, micrometers and other assorted hand measurement equipment

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred experience: Utilization of both CMM and hand equipment to perform dimensional inspection techniques

Certifications/Licenses: AFS Laboratory Certification preferred

Required skills

• Virtual Dimensional Measuring Interface Specification (DMIS) 6.0, Virtual DMIS, and expert PC-DMIS knowledge required
• Routine CMM operation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance expertise
• Ability to read blueprints to determine and measure features and tolerances
• Ability to interpret reduced dimension drawings
• Ability to program using electronic models
• Surface plate inspection using standard inspection tools
• Software experience: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Knowledge of Aerospace Standard (AS) 9100 requirements
• Polyworks and Bluelight scanning a plus
• Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus

Pay

Salary Rate: $34 - $39 per hour, DOE, with heavy overtime opportunities.
