CMM Operator

About the role

The CMM Operator is responsible for operating Computerized Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect and measure parts to ensure they meet quality standards. The role involves setting up machines, performing measurements, and documenting results.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMMs to inspect and measure parts
• Set up and calibrate CMMs before each use
• Document measurements and results accurately
• Ensure all work adheres to quality control procedures
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding machine status and issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing inspection or related field
• Strong understanding of metrology principles and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Proficient in using CMM software and hardware
• Knowledge of ISO and other relevant quality standards
• Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
