Responsibilities
As a Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer, you will lead design projects in operational data centers that remediate issues, upgrade existing infrastructure, or add new services. You will be the 'go to' engineering resource for these projects and will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation. You will use your electrical expertise to:
- Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions which add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability
- Prepare/review short circuit coordination studies and maintain the software models to match as-built site conditions
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region
- Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions
- Act as technical subject matter expert for your given discipline during new remediation projects
- Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover
- Lead projects to reduce power utilization and increase capacity of our data centers to meet ever-evolving customer needs as we continue expanding our fleet to hyper-scale
- Manage design and as built drawings and documents
- Prepare and present progress reports to all relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with capacity planning & delivery teams to identify opportunities to increase capacity utilization and develop designs for projects to unblock additional capacity
- Lead first of kind designs for innovative solutions
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
- Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
- Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing

- Possess strong engineering judgement and are able to provide design and recommendations despite uncertainty
- Detail and data oriented with familiarity with design/construction processes
- Experience managing engineering projects and engineering consultants
- Ability to build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design)

Pay & Benefits
Base salary range: $96,600.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually. Your package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
