About the role

Vinfen is seeking a Clubhouse Counselor II to provide individual and group support to Clubhouse members. The position includes assessing and developing Action Plan goals, promoting life skills and self-determination, and providing expertise in specific work areas.

Responsibilities

  • Function as an advisor for Clubhouse members and assess, develop, and implement Action Plans.
  • Promote a supportive and empowering environment where members learn to advocate for themselves.
  • Communicate and reinforce the Clubhouse culture and philosophy to members and other providers.
  • Develop, implement, and support Clubhouse policies and procedures.
  • Aid members in linking to community services and resources.
  • Teach, coach, facilitate, and support skill development in all work areas.
  • Maintain program records and support members in documenting progress on their Action Plan.
  • Attend trainings and conferences to enhance professional growth.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and supervision.
  • Provide assistance in the orientation of new staff and members.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor and coworkers.
  • Help upkeep the physical site and plan/attend Clubhouse events.
  • Support coverage/assistance as needed for Clubhouse work units and program activities.
  • Occasionally cover weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Typical Requirements: One to three years experience in human services field required. Advanced training, experience, or professional credentials are required for Clubhouse Counselor II positions.
  • Preferred / Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, rehabilitation counseling, special education, or related preferred.

Additional Duties

  • Education Staff: Create and implement assessment tools, devise and implement curriculum, provide training and supervision for program tutors, conduct classes, and establish affiliations with colleges and universities.
  • Intake, Outreach, and Housing Staff: Manage Intake, Orientation, Outreach, and Housing work area, provide guidance and supervision, and act as a liaison to prospective members.

Physical Effort

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, lift up to 25 pounds, operate a computer and other office equipment, sit, reach, climb stairs, maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways, assist PS with tasks of daily living, remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, bend, reach, file, sit, stand, and move around the facility, speak, hear, and communicate with PS, staff, and external representatives.

Pay

USD $20.97 - USD $20.97 /Hr.
