About the role
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that supports youth development through various programs and services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the leadership development for three Program Directors and other key staff to foster a strong team.
- Create and implement Club programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and facilitate achievement of youth development goals.
- Maintain a healthy, safe environment with well-maintained facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Create and maintain excellent relationships with schools, school district personnel, community supporters, and local municipalities.
- Oversee the child care center, manage financial resources, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Recruit, manage, and provide career development opportunities for staff and volunteers.
- Develop and maintain public relations to increase visibility of programs, services, and activities within the Club and the community.
Requirements
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of five years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
- Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and recruitment and retention of key personnel.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.
- Collaborative skills in working with youth, parents, and community leaders.
- Knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
- Ability to solve complex problems and adapt to change.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Ability to function for more than 2 hours on your feet.
- Adaptability and flexibility to change.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years old.
- Able to drive 15-passenger vehicles and have a good driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
- Flexible schedule to work Monday through Friday, some evenings, and weekends.
