CLS Technical Coordinator

About the Role

As a Lab Tech Coordinator, you will perform vital clinical laboratory procedures to detect, identify, measure, and report data crucial for disease diagnosis and treatment. You will use technical skills, instrumentation, and information systems to provide essential clinical laboratory support while ensuring the quality and accuracy of all tests under leadership direction.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of laboratory principles across various disciplines (microbiology, hematology, chemistry, etc.), understand sample processing and result interpretation, prioritize chemical and biological safety, and be adept at operating and maintaining lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coach laboratory personnel to train for adherence to relevant policies and ethics.
• Oversee most laboratory day-to-day operations and exercise authority over operational decisions.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processes.
• Participate in laboratory audits and inspections.
• Perform root cause analysis for identified issues and implement corrective actions.
• Generate reports on quality metrics, instrument performance, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with laboratory management, medical directors, and other laboratory departments.

Requirements

• 2 years of clinical lab experience in the designated lab area/specialty.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical or biological science as defined by CLIA.
• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.

Pay

$49.57 - $73.73 per hour.
