Job Summary

The MTA is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design cloud architectures primarily for Oracle Cloud (OCI) along with AWS, Azure, and other cloud providers. The role involves developing architectures, standards, and governance models for the OCI platform.

About the Role

This role requires extensive experience in cloud platforms, services, governance, frameworks, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working with business stakeholders and technical teams to design scalable, secure, multi/hybrid cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud architectures for Oracle Cloud and other cloud providers
• Develop and maintain governance models and cloud standards for the organization
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, secure cloud architectures
• Guide engineering teams or supplement their skill sets as needed
• Ensure hybrid integrations and migration initiatives are aligned with cloud architecture designs
• Support the expansion of Infrastructure as Code capabilities within the organization

Requirements

• A current Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification (Architect Professional or Architect Associate) is strongly preferred
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with cloud networking, security, and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and API/CLI automation
• Strong foundation in on-premises infrastructure to support hybrid integrations and migrations
• Experience with cloud financial management and operations (FinOps)
• Proficiency in cloud architecture documentation tools like Visio or Abacus

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and/or Azure
• 4+ years of experience with cloud networking, security, and automation
• 2+ years of experience with cloud financial management and operations
• 2+ years of experience with cloud architecture documentation
