Clothing Grader Processor

About the Role

Examines textiles to determine quality and suitability, preparing items for the next station. This role directly impacts organizational sales, as 50% of Goodwill sales are associated with apparel.

Responsibilities

• Secure textiles from containers.
• Thoroughly examine condition and determine whether product goes to hanging or salvage.
• Meet or exceed production and quality goals and standards.
• Accomplish assigned cleaning routines.
• Assist in training workers and consumers in cooperation with the Workforce Development Department staff.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with CARF standards.
• Maintain applicable safety standards, rules, and regulations in areas of responsibility.
• Set S.M.A.R.T objectives to drive performance and improve Goodwill's value to the community.
• Work with integrity and provide exemplary customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate accountability through key performance metrics.
• Utilize organizational resources efficiently and effectively to ensure financial stability.

Requirements

• Able to stand for two hours at a time over a period spanning up to eight hours.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able to walk or stand for significant periods and move large boxes, furniture, and other heavy items.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in sales is preferred.
