About the Role

Up Closets is growing in the Richmond, VA market and is looking for an energetic, professional Design Consultant to join our team. This is more than a sales job—it's an opportunity to transform homes while helping clients create organized, functional spaces they love. No cold calling. We provide qualified appointments with homeowners who have requested a consultation.

Job Type: Full-Time | Commission-Based | Flexible Schedule

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners in their homes for scheduled design consultations.
• Listen carefully to understand each client's needs, lifestyle, and vision.
• Measure spaces and create custom closet, pantry, garage, home office, laundry, and storage solutions using our intuitive design software.
• Present beautiful designs and pricing during the appointment.
• Guide clients through the purchasing decision with confidence and professionalism.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience from consultation through installation.

Requirements

• Passionate about design and helping people.
• A confident communicator who enjoys building relationships.
• Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
• Comfortable learning technology and design software.
• Available to work evenings and weekends when homeowners are most available.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Sales experience is preferred, especially in:

Pay

Commission-based position. Top Design Consultants earn $100,000–$150,000+ annually. Performance bonuses and incentives available.
