Closer & Processor
BE Home Finance is a licensed Arizona mortgage broker serving homebuyers, homeowners, and specialty borrowers. We are adding a Processor and Closer to our specialty lending team, supporting financing for operators of licensed residential care properties. This is a combined role where one person processes and closes the file, start to finish, from submission through funding and post-close.
About the Role
These are not cookie-cutter conforming files. Borrowers are often business entities with guarantors, properties carry requirements beyond a standard residential transaction, and the file mix includes both business purpose and consumer purpose loans. If you like work that requires judgment rather than repetition, you will like this desk.
Responsibilities
- Own a pipeline of specialty lending files from submission through funding
- Order, review, and clear conditions covering title, appraisal, insurance, and borrower documentation
- Apply the correct disclosure path and timeline to each file based on loan type
- Prepare and issue disclosures on consumer purpose files within required timing, including Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures
- Balance figures with title and escrow, prepare closing packages, and coordinate signings
- Verify signing authority, follow funding controls, and authorize disbursement
- Clear trailing documents, manage post-close conditions, and deliver audit-ready files
- Keep the borrower, the loan officer, and the referral partner informed without being asked
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on mortgage processing experience, with files you personally took to the closing table
- Working knowledge of TRID timing, changed circumstances, tolerance categories, and cures
- Experience preparing or reviewing closing figures and closing packages
- Comfort reading title commitments, appraisals, insurance binders, and entity documents
- Precise, organized, and calm when a file gets complicated
- Willingness to learn a specialty product set, including entity borrowers and business purpose transactions (we will train you)
Commercial, SBA, DSCR, construction, or healthcare lending experience is a strong plus but not required.
Why This Role
- One file, one owner. You are not handing your work to a closer who has never spoken to the borrower.
- Room to shape it. You will have real input into how this desk runs rather than inheriting a script.
- Work that matters. The properties you help finance become homes for seniors who need care and somewhere to live.
- Direct access. You will work with leadership and licensed originators daily, not through a queue.
Employment Details
- Not a loan origination role. This position performs clerical and support duties under the supervision and instruction of a licensed mortgage loan originator. It does not require an NMLS license, nor does it involve taking loan applications, offering or negotiating loan rates or terms, or counseling consumers on specific loan products. Any consumer question about rates, terms, or eligibility is routed to a licensed loan originator.
- Full-time, W-2 employee position (not an independent contractor engagement).
- At-will employment. Employment may be terminated by either party at any time, with or without cause or notice.
- Employment is contingent on verification of employment eligibility through E-Verify.
- Any offer is contingent on the successful completion of a background investigation, including a credit report and screening against federal and state exclusion and debarment lists applicable to mortgage lenders.
