About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor delivers care to residents utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation under the direction of the residents’ attending physician. The RN will effectively interact with residents, family, and other health team members while maintaining all standards of professional nursing.
Responsibilities
- Utilize nursing knowledge and skills in the safe implementation of preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care of assigned residents as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive resident care outcomes.
- Perform independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards.
- Admit and assess residents, including initial care plan.
- Administer assessments, treatments, medications, and diets accurately, observing patient response, as evidenced by documentation in the medical record and lack of negative outcomes.
- Maintain accurate narcotic count and sign-in log book.
- Complete all required resident charting every shift.
- Make rounds on unit every shift; assess orderliness, infection control, and resident care.
- Observe and document changes in residents’ condition and report to the attending physician and other departments.
- Participate in discharge planning with physician and other departments according to residents’ needs.
- Direct, supervise, and assist CNAs and other nursing staff in providing bedside care.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the health care team in coordination of the resident’s care as evidenced by other department feedback and coordinates communication among team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current AHA health care provider training (BCLS).
- Demonstrated experience within a skilled nursing facility and ability to provide proof of such experience.

Full-Time, 11 p.m. – 7 a.m.
