About the Department

Nomura’s Global Markets department provides liquidity, market insights, and execution services across equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. The team specializes in market-making, risk management, and electronic trading, leveraging innovation and technology to offer cutting-edge trading platforms and customized solutions.

About the Role

This is a Junior Trader position on the #1 Greenwich-ranked Nomura CLO Trading desk within the Securitized Products business. The role focuses on market-making for CLO Debt and Equity, from Aaa-rated tranches to unrated Equity.

  • Run bond analytics to price and trade CLO securities
  • Prepare monthly marks for clients and CLO repo/financing
  • Maintain the BWIC calendar
  • Collaborate closely with clients including hedge funds, private equity funds, asset managers, insurance companies, and banks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Academic or work experience in Finance or Engineering preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in programming (VBA primarily) is a plus
  • Experience with Bloomberg and/or INTEX analytics is a plus

Pay

At commencement of employment, the base pay range for this position is expected to be between $110,000 and $135,000. Total compensation may also include a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and benefits such as medical coverage, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off (vacation, sick leave, parental leave).
