Investment Analyst (CLOs)

Our client is a global investment management firm offering a wide range of investment solutions, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), private equity, and real estate investment products.

About the role

This 6-month contract (possible extension) supports the Bank Loan Oversight and Administration Team, providing reporting, trade support, and settlement assistance to portfolio management and investment teams. Positions are available in Downers Grove, IL (preferred) or Houston, TX, with a requirement of 4 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities

• Produce scheduled reporting deliverables for internal clients, including investment teams, legal, and compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure top-tier service for internal and external clients and service providers.
• Support traders by accurately and efficiently entering trading activity in a timely manner.
• Assist the trade closing team in coordinating and facilitating settlement efforts, liaising with traders, trade counterparties, and agent banks.
• Maintain data quality and integrity of critical business information through data mining and analysis from various internal and external sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; business (Finance/Accounting) degree preferred.
• 2+ years of work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with bonds and bond settlements is desired.
• Solid understanding of the security/loan market (LMA) and fund operations is desired.
• Experience in a reporting or product oversight role is a plus.
• Experience in the investment management space is a plus.

Skills

• Aptitude for detail and strong commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
• Ability to conduct analysis and present data meaningfully.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and Word.
• Working knowledge of S&P Wall Street Office and/or Allvue-Everest is a plus.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and follow through on projects.
• Self-motivated, able to multitask, and complete tasks upon assignment.
• Open-minded, flexible, and willing to consider others’ opinions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with effective interpersonal skills.

Pay

$40.00/hr. to $45.00/hr. on W2.

Schedule

• Regular office hours, with potential variations depending on project or assignment needs.
• May include evenings and/or weekends if necessary.
• 4 days per week onsite.
