Clinician Manager

With 14 high-end offices across California—from Marin to Walnut Creek, San Francisco to Redwood City, Burlingame, and Irvine—we are expanding with plans for more center openings. Our team of Clinicians, Health Coaches, and Member Care Coordinators is dedicated to providing members with the knowledge, personal support, and proven science they need to achieve optimal health.

About the role

The Clinician Manager (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) will lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, providing clinical oversight, guidance, and support to ensure efficient workflow and outstanding patient care. In addition to managerial duties, the Clinician Manager will deliver direct patient care through JumpstartMD’s weight loss and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) programs. Responsibilities include achieving clinic goals in service delivery, patient satisfaction, quality improvement, people development, and fiscal management, as well as participating in operational and strategic planning. The ideal candidate has a background in weight loss, nutrition, women’s health, endocrinology, or BHRT, or a strong desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly 1:1 consultations and coaching sessions with members in JumpstartMD’s weight loss program.
• Use motivational interviewing, empathy, and active listening to build strong rapport with members.
• Evaluate and assess members’ health needs; guide, educate, and support them on their wellness journey.
• Collaborate with members to establish health goals and explain the scientific basis of the program.
• Provide bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) in accordance with JumpstartMD’s protocols.
• Deliver routine care and management as outlined in JumpstartMD’s standardized procedures.
• Perform physical examinations and screenings; diagnose health issues and monitor condition changes.
• Educate members about wellness concerns and provide timely follow-ups.
• Document visits, track progress, update records (test results, immunizations, condition changes), and modify care plans as needed.
• Administer medications and operate medical equipment.
• Hire, coach, and develop staff, including professional development planning and growth opportunities.
• Empower employees, delegate tasks, ensure accountability, and provide regular feedback.
• Foster a work environment aligned with JumpstartMD’s mission, vision, and guiding principles, emphasizing collaboration and conflict resolution.
• Participate in weekly team and management meetings.
• Evaluate, plan, and improve SOPs to enhance quality of care, member satisfaction, efficiency, and output.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• California licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• DEA Registration Certificate.
• OIG Clearance and NPI number.
• Ability to pass a background check, including criminal records clearance.

Pay

$75–$90 per hour (Burlingame/HQ).

Schedule

Tuesday–Saturday, 6:50 AM–2:00 PM.
