CLINICIAN II/III, ACCESS AND OUTPATIENT- CHARLOTTESVILLE (FULL-TIME)

About the role

Clinician II/Clinician III position at Region Ten Community Services Board, located at 800 Preston Ave, Charlottesville, VA 22903. The incumbent reports to the Access and Adult Clinical Services (AACS) Program Director for schedule and assignment of work duties, is monitored, trained, and supervised by the Program Director, and performs duties in accordance with Region Ten policies. The position is FLSA non‑exempt.

Responsibilities

• Triage, screening, assessment, initial treatment planning, authorization of services, and referral for consumers seeking services at Region Ten who are not currently enrolled.
• Provide and extend counseling, education, and rehabilitation services to adult clients in group and individual settings.
• Serve a diverse client population, including those who are chemically dependent, have co‑occurring mental illness and substance use/abuse, are housing insecure, or are involved with the justice system.
• Report to the Access and Adult Clinical Services (AACS) Program Director for schedule and assignment of work duties.
• Be monitored, trained, and supervised in the performance of tasks by the Program Director.
• Perform duties as specified and according to the policies of Region Ten Community Services Board.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and license eligible according to the DHP definition.
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Abuse, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Education verified by an official transcript with conferral date.
• Evidence of having had an intern or practicum of at least 500 hours of experience with persons who have a mental illness (verification of internship/practicum for QMHP form).
