About the role

The Enrollment Counselor position for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies Global Online Enrollment Team is a full-time, remote, non-exempt sales role reporting to an Enrollment Director. This position requires significant phone work and one-on-one admissions counseling, with a focus on guiding prospective adult students through the University’s admissions process using counseling, sales, and soft skills.

Remote work requires U.S. residency and legal authorization to work within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to CCU’s mission by sharing how a degree or program through CCU can transform prospective students with a Christian worldview.
• Apply proven marketing and inside sales techniques in a call center environment to attract students to Christian online higher education.
• Articulate how CCU aligns with potential students’ educational goals and address their questions about programs.
• Achieve and exceed monthly enrollment goals through persuasive and consultative selling.
• Make and receive calls from students or family members, persuading them why CCU is a good fit and how faith integrates with education and career choices.
• Regularly measure and report student recruiting activities (calls, emails, CRM task management) to leadership on a daily and weekly basis.
• Work collaboratively with CAGS staff and faculty to maintain effective working relationships and meet department goals within a biblical framework.
• Monitor daily enrollments against individual and leadership-established goals, using proven techniques to accomplish targets.
• Function as part of a university-wide team focused on enrolling, retaining, and serving online adult and graduate students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in college/university admissions, sales, public relations, corporate development, marketing, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to work daily from 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM Mountain Time, including a Saturday shift on a 6-week rotation.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve enrollment goals and use proven educational enrollment techniques; inbound/outbound tele-sales experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, highly organized, with the ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and as an individual contributor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project; experience with admissions software and contact management preferred.

Work Environment

• Requires sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and conducting phone conversations for extended periods.
• May involve walking, standing, reaching, balancing, stooping, speaking clearly, and having appropriate vision and hearing capabilities.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds.
• May require working occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends.

Pay

Starting pay is $22.28 per hour. CCU’s pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity, budgetary considerations, and may account for a candidate’s qualifications or experience. The posted range is not a guarantee of a specific wage for a job offer.
