Clinician Educator- Internal Medicine (Open Rank)
About the role
The Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine seeks a clinician-educator interested in a career as a clinician, practicing and teaching general internal medicine in a patient-centered medical home. The physician will provide care for patients at a University of Colorado Health Internal Medicine Clinic or CU Internal Medicine Clinic, with opportunities for precepting residents and students.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients at a University of Colorado Health Internal Medicine Clinic or CU Internal Medicine Clinic
- Opportunities for precepting residents and students
- Share responsibilities for night, week-end, and vacation coverage with other members of the group practice
- Participate in decisions regarding the practice operation
- Collaborate with other faculty in clinical research projects
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date
Qualifications
- Non-Tenured Track Instructor: 0-7 years’ experience as an MD or DO
- Senior Instructor: 3 or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician
- Assistant Professor: 7 or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician-educator
- Associate Professor: 14 or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician-educator
- Professor: Rank of Professor, or equivalent, already attained at a prior academic institution

Pay
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Instructor: $200,000 - $214,000 Senior Instructor: $216,000 - $232,000 Assistant Professor: $200,000 – $214,000 Associate Professor: $219,000 - $234,000 Professor: $231,000 – $247,000 Based on the current incentive plan, your total yearly compensation for full-time 1.0 FTE position will be $240,000 per year for your first two years. You can increase your compensation by optimizing billing and by working additional clinical hours.
Schedule
This role is expected to work onsite and is located in the Denver Metro area.
