Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Oversee the provision of prenatal care within the Family Medicine Clinic
- Periodically provide didactic education to medical students and residents
- Engage in faculty development and mentoring programs
- Provide teaching and attending support for learners in the Family Medicine GME program
- Support student, resident, and post-graduate core and continuing medical education
- Develop a clinical practice to support the Family Medicine Maternal/Newborn clinical and educational services
Requirements
- MD, DO or equivalent
- Completed an ACGME-accredited OB-GYN Residency or an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency and an FM-OB fellowship
- Licensure in Georgia and credentialing at MCG's partner Academic Medical Center
Qualifications
- Assistant Professor: Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training
- Associate Professor: Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience
- Professor: Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching medical learners, especially family medicine residents
- Post-residency experience as a practicing physician

The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 304 students per class. The MCG educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, with regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state, and two four-year campuses located in Athens (in partnership with the University of Georgia) and in Savannah (in partnership with Georgia Southern University).
