About the role
The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
Responsibilities
- Board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology and Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology
- Commitment to excellence in Mohs surgery and reconstruction
- Building a nationally or internationally recognized career in academic dermatologic surgery
- Teaching responsibilities including didactics and bedside dermatologic surgery instruction to residents, fellows, and medical students
- Extensive mentorship from experienced surgeons and faculty to develop advanced surgical skills and an academic niche
- Busy surgical practice with state-of-the-art facilities and support staff
- Use of immunostains for melanoma and other rare tumors, and mentoring to develop these skills
- Excellent clinical judgement, professionalism, and commitment to the team
- Research or scholarship responsibilities including publishing and lecturing about advances to prevent and treat skin cancer
- Support with research fellows, statisticians, and regulatory coordinators for research or clinical trials
Requirements
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
