Clinician Educator - Assistant Professor – Mohs and Dermatological Surgeon

About the role

The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.

Responsibilities

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology and Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology
  • Commitment to excellence in Mohs surgery and reconstruction
  • Building a nationally or internationally recognized career in academic dermatologic surgery
  • Teaching responsibilities including didactics and bedside dermatologic surgery instruction to residents, fellows, and medical students
  • Extensive mentorship from experienced surgeons and faculty to develop advanced surgical skills and an academic niche
  • Busy surgical practice with state-of-the-art facilities and support staff
  • Use of immunostains for melanoma and other rare tumors, and mentoring to develop these skills
  • Excellent clinical judgement, professionalism, and commitment to the team
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities including publishing and lecturing about advances to prevent and treat skin cancer
  • Support with research fellows, statisticians, and regulatory coordinators for research or clinical trials

Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
