About the role

PBMHR has an opening for an office-based Clinician to provide services at a mental health center in both Amite and Franklin counties. This position would work with adults with a serious mental illness diagnosis. This will be a full-time Monday through Friday position from 8a to 5p and no on-call duties.

Requirements

• Education/License:
• - Master's degree in behavioral health field required
• - Clinical license preferred
• - Must be able to obtain Clinical license or DMH Therapist certification within 90 days of hire
• - Must have valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
• Work Experience/Skills:
• - Behavioral health experience preferred
• - Excellent communication skills required
• - Behavioral health internship required
• - Independent work ability
• - Excellent communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Asks appropriate questions as required by the clinical intake documentation, to elicit information.
• Assists consumer in establishing realistic therapeutic goals appropriate to the problems presented.
• Participates in team staffings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provides clinical therapy services and emergency services to consumers and their families.
• Provides written record of consumer's progress through the therapeutic process.
• Uses information obtained in clinical observations to suggest diagnosis and severity of condition.
