About the role
The Behavioral Health Specialist will provide clinical services to children and families within the hospital setting. This includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy sessions. The role also involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to support patient mental health and development.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new developments in behavioral health.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Current license to practice as a Behavioral Health Professional in the state of Ohio.
- Experience working with children and families in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of child development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
