Clinical Team Leader (Behavioral Health) - Full time, Nights - Mercy Jefferson

About the role

Assists in planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties as delegated by the manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

Location: Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO 63028.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating operations and patient care for designated areas.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients within the department.
• Provide staff nursing coverage in the department as needed.
• Assume delegated managerial duties from the department manager.
• Uphold Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards in all activities.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure in the applicable state of practice.
• Two years of direct patient‑care experience as a registered nurse.
• One year of experience as a department charge nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lb on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
