Clinical Support Specialist

Duties

• Perform data entry into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) including enrollments, transfers, discharges, demographic information, and insurance/billing information for all services in the region.
• Outreach to individuals seeking services at Spurwink.
• Scan or enter other required documentation into the EMR.
• Enter admission, billing, and clinical information in external databases for multiple services, including Registrations, Prior Authorizations, Continued Stay Reviews, Discharges, Incident Reports, etc.
• Maintain staff authorizations and address unbillable events.
• Perform chart audits to ensure requisite documents are present.
• Provide notices to staff when paperwork or case extensions are due or missing.
• Process time-sensitive records requests.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and time management skills are required.
• Administrative experience in a healthcare setting and excel proficiency are preferred.

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
