Clinical Support Specialist

About the role
In this role, the Clinical Support Specialist works cooperatively with other administrative and clinical staff members to manage client communication and needs, whether on the phone or in person. This position has oversight of all processes involving client records from data entry to release of information to archiving.
Responsibilities
- Answer the intake line during business hours
- Process all new referrals and secure insurance eligibility verifications
- Transmit referral information to the appropriate person or service within the agency
- Perform data entry of all referral information in the electronic record
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a medical or mental health care office setting or other professional business office setting including customer service and data entry
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance is a plus
- Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal clearance, and verification that the employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list
At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
This position is on-site in Reading, PA and does not offer remote work options.
Pay
$17+/hour
