Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, a proud addition to Banyan Treatment Centers, is recruiting for a per-diem Clinical Support staff to join our treatment team in Lake Worth, Florida. As part of the Clinical team, the Clinical Support staff is pivotal in serving individuals with primary substance use or mental-health disorders.

About the role

This role involves conducting groups, assisting the primary Therapist in managing patient caseloads, conducting biopsychosocial assessments, and supporting various patient care activities under the guidance of the attending Clinical Director(s).

Location: Lake Worth, FL (On-site)

Responsibilities

  • Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating adequate preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative strategies, etc.
  • Complete baseline clinical assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations.
  • Conduct groups.
  • Assist Therapist and Case Manager as needed.
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for covering client caseload in absence of primary Therapists.
  • Assist Therapist in familial communication and documentation.
  • Assist client in managing outside stressors.
  • Maintain clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.
  • Assist Therapist and Case Manager with discharge planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related Human Services field.
  • Preferences:
    • Master's degree in social work or a related Human Services field.
    • Active Florida LAMFT, LASW or ACSW.
    • CADC or SUDDC.
    • Work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health treatment.

Skills

  • Adherence to Healthcare Code of Ethics and familiarity with Joint Commission Standards.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding client confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in group facilitation.
  • Skilled in crisis intervention, including de-escalation and suicide risk assessment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
