About the Role

Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Transport or authorized designee, the Transporter safely and efficiently transports patients throughout St. Mary's Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from various departments within the Medical Center.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity during transport.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Assist with patient transfers as needed, following proper body mechanics.
• Maintain accurate records of patient transports.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
