Clinical Supervisor (Remote) - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

  • Assists the counselors in the development of the treatment plans and maintenance of notes.
  • Facilitates treatment team meetings and participates in case consults.
  • Provides individual and group supervision to the counselors and other staff as assigned.
  • Maintains caseload as needed.
  • Aids in the development of new programs for the facility.
  • Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment.
  • Maintains a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for clients including crisis intervention.
  • Schedules clinical programming daily as required.
  • Completes all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day supervision and training of clinical department staff.
  • Licensure supervision of clinical staff appropriate to discipline.

Qualifications

  • Education, Licensure, & Experience:
    • ASAM aligned substance programs: Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling with a Master’s level licensure: Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling or certification by a state wide certification board (CAADC) and 2 years of clinical experience in a health and human services agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.
    • Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling and are working towards a Master’s level licensure (Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling), or certification by a state wide certification board (CAADC), and 2 years of clinical experience in a health and human services agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.
    • Bachelor’s Level with a CADC or are working towards a CADC with a minimum of one year of qualifying clinical experience, and 3 years of clinical experience in a health and human services agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.
    • Associates Degree with a CAAC and 4 years of clinical experience in a health and human services agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.
    • Full certification as an addictions counselor by a statewide certification body and 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent person.
  • The individual shall also complete a Department approved core curriculum training prior to hire which includes a component on clinical supervision skills.

Job Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound clinical judgment and excellent clinical skills.
  • Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information.
  • Ability to handle a crisis and or potential risk situation and react appropriately.
  • A working knowledge of federal and state standards as well as regulating body and compliance standards.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent: Sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally: Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Seldom: Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Noise level: Usually moderately quiet & indoors.
  • Travel: Local travel required.
