CLINICAL SUPERVISOR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT (FT NIGHTS)
About the role
The position involves planning and providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, care partners, and others. It requires coordination with a multidisciplinary team and supervision of nursing staff to achieve optimal health care outcomes. The role supports the facility's vision, mission, and goals while providing leadership and support to the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner, and appropriate others.
- Captures and coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directing and facilitating nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes.
- Serves as a liaison between patients, families, care partners, and healthcare team members.
- Supports activities that align with the facility's vision, mission, and goals.
- Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Oversees and guides employees under his/her supervision.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and policies.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Shift: FULL TIME NIGHTS
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN required.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year full time or three (3) years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Must be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient and fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Must be comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias. Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing is preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire).
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of one (1) year full time or three (3) years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing.
- One (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
- Current BLS certification.
- A current ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire).
