About the role
The Clinical Social Worker Supervisor functions as a clinical social worker and provides clinical supervision in a Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic and related clinical programs.

Responsibilities
- Clinical Services
- Provide detailed psychiatric evaluations incorporating a biopsychosocial history including risk assessment and recommendation for treatment.
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy to patients using assessment tools to track patient progress and tailored intervention.
- Provide evaluations and evidence-based treatment for patients.
- Lead therapy groups.
- Assume responsibility for difficult and complex patients based on experience or area of expertise.
- Provide clinical supervision and continuing education seminars.
- Document services and activities per department standards and assist with program evaluation activities to track and analyze utilization and effectiveness of services.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Serve as a biopsychosocial expert in the multidisciplinary care team.
- Provide specialty consultation to other health care staff.
- Participate in community activities that promote health care.
- Share expert knowledge of community resources to coordinate transitions of care.
- Participate as a member of an inter- and intra-disciplinary team, including problem-solving, program planning, clinical care planning, and quality improvement.
- Education & Training
- Lead family and patient education.
- Serve as a practicum instructor or preceptor for graduate or undergraduate social work students.
- Conduct scholarly presentations to social work staff and participate in educational activities for staff and trainees of other disciplines.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance, Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or other related field.
- Six years of related experience providing direct clinical social work or behavioral health services to clients/patients in a clinical setting. Related experience may include supervised clinical internships, fellowships, and other clinical training experiences.
- Licenses and Certifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Supervisor Credentials (LCSW-S) in the State of Texas or Licensed Professional Counselor with Supervisor Credentials (LPC-S) in the State of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with healthcare management software, Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, and MS Office suite.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to manage day-to-day clinic operations.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
