Clinical Sales Specialist II
About the role
The Clinical Specialist II is an advanced-level position focused on supporting Masimo products and maintaining customer relationships within large hospital systems. This role involves collaborating with clinicians and key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to deliver optimal care solutions at a lower cost through Masimo's products and data.
Responsibilities
- Consult with healthcare partners and skilled clinicians to identify solutions that automate patient management across the continuum of care using Masimo products, measurements, and data.
- Work with the Masimo Account Manager to develop and execute strategies supporting customer strategic initiatives.
- Consult on workflow solutions to minimize disruption and maximize efficiency.
- Uncover opportunities to expand Masimo solutions and work with the account manager to meet territory sales objectives.
- Develop and maintain ongoing partnerships with Masimo customers to meet or exceed their expectations, primarily in large hospitals or health systems.
- Prioritize and plan independently, as well as with sales and clinical team members, to meet company goals and attain customer satisfaction/loyalty.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and product support.
- Perform the Project Management Role, Lead Clinical Specialist Role, or Clinical Specialist Resource Role for on-site implementations, evaluations, and additional projects.
- Travel overnight is required (50% or more).
- Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- PC literacy and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Ability to travel extensively (50% or more).
- Must meet current state and/or professional license requirements.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license with a driving record that meets company’s insurance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ critical care or related clinical experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Track record of creating close client relationships and being viewed as a trusted advisor.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Nurse (RN).
Education
Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse preferred.
Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000–$120,000, with eligibility for variable compensation of up to $20,000 based on achieving 100% of the annual sales objective. Actual salary placement within this range depends on skills, education, and professional experience.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Primarily works outside of a traditional office environment, making frequent customer contact on a daily basis.
- Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and lifting (must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds).
- Daily use of a computer and other digital devices.
- May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in facilities.
- Must be able to travel extensively (both domestically and locally).
