Clinical RN - Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Unit
About the role
Barnes Jewish Hospital is seeking a Multidisciplinary ICU Registered Nurse. This is a brand new department focusing on cardiac, medicine, surgical, and neuro patients. Part-time positions are available with benefits eligibility for up to two 12-hour shifts per week.
Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
- Educate patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
- Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engage in professional development activities.
- Create, implement, and document individualized patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patients, families, or caregivers.
- Proactively plan and ensure effective communication of the care plan across the healthcare continuum.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to established standards of care.
- Assess patient preferences and barriers to care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
Requirements
- One to two years of critical care experience preferred.
- Acceptable ADN/BSN/MSN candidates.
- One to two years of critical care experience preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Qualifications
- BSN differential for eligible candidates.
Skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
