Clinical Resource Nurse, Operating Room Educator, Baptist Downtown

About the role

Baptist Health is Jacksonville's only locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system and provides a full spectrum of preventive and specialty care through 200+ locations and six hospitals. Centers of excellence include Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute and Wolfson Children's Hospital.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; no call or weekends required, but must be flexible to department needs.

Responsibilities

• Organize department education for 130+ staff on a weekly basis and guide orientees through the orientation process.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, and assist with daily patient care activities for the assigned patient population.
• Ensure adherence to established clinical policies, protocols, regulations, and standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource for assigned units, collaborating with nursing leaders, medical staff, and nursing staff to improve patient care and outcomes in the Operating Room.
• Provide clinical support using advanced knowledge and skills in evidence-based practice, mentoring, consultation, collaboration, education, and leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Direct Operating Room Nursing Experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Florida
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
