Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care using the nursing process
• Cook up care with surgical and ancillary teams
• Prepare operating room and surgical cases
• Anticipate patient and procedural needs
• Educate patients and families on care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient safety

Requirements

• 2–3 years Surgical Services Experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required)
• CNOR (preferred)

Qualifications

• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (required); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Credential: Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
• Additional Certifications: ACLS (required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs; PALS (required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED)
