Clinical Resident Nurse - Cardiac Medical/Surgical

About the Role

This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to assess patients, administer medications, and perform treatments. Focuses on patient education, safety, and preservation of patient dignity and rights. Performs general nursing duties, prioritizes care, and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families. Engages in lifelong learning to maintain professional competence.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on medical conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans.
• Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist physicians with procedures and technical services.
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate post-discharge care.
• Practice cost-effective resource management.
• Promote patient safety and minimize harm.
• Maintain ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Computer literacy required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
