About the role

The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care within the assigned setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. They utilize critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassion to deliver high-quality care while respecting patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. The nurse performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, ensuring safety and efficient resource use.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition
  • Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments appropriate to patient age and needs
  • Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care
  • Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical services
  • Address psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planning
  • Practice cost-effective care, promote patient safety, and reduce health care risks
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Computer literacy
  • RN licensure and BLS certification (within 14 days of hire)

Skills

  • Preferred: ACLS/PALS certifications
