Clinical Resident Nurse - Cardiac Med/Surg

About the role

This position provides direct and indirect patient care in various care settings. It involves collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizing critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care, the role focuses on preserving patient dignity, autonomy, and rights, while restoring health whenever possible.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans, including psychosocial needs.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical/manual skills.
• Promote patient safety, prioritize care, and use resources efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and participate in ongoing learning.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Computer literacy required; additional certifications are a plus.
