Clinical Research Coordinator A/B (OBGYN - Pregnancy and Perinatal Research Center)

About the Role
The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of study coordination for the Penn Pregnancy & Perinatal Research Center, including subject recruitment, data entry, biospecimen collection, subject visits, follow-up, and regulatory documentation.
Responsibilities
- Detailed screening of patients for eligibility across multiple studies.
- Consenting patients into multiple studies.
- Collaborating with the clinical team to provide a positive patient encounter.
- Providing clinical services, including phlebotomy and obtaining biospecimens as required by protocol.
- Intercepting and responding to study participants' phone calls.
- Performing telephone follow-up per study protocol.
- Data collection and management in accordance with study protocol, including maintenance of source documents and case report forms.
- Collecting and reporting timely, valid, and accurate data while maintaining individual patient records.
- Maintaining study compliance and integrity through collaboration with nurse coordinators, investigators, and patients.
- Responding to database queries and chart reviews as necessary.
- Coordinating with community partners to encourage recruitment and retention.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Clinical Research Coordinator B will additionally perform the following duties:
- Coordinate scheduling of study participant visits with study investigators and nurse practitioners as per protocol.
- Ensure all tests and assessments at each visit are performed, report adverse events, and ensure review and appropriate follow-up by the investigator.
- Prepare detailed documentation of study activities.
Position contingent upon continued funding.
Requirements
Position requires a highly motivated, articulate individual with excellent oral and written communication skills. The candidate should possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong planning, organizational, prioritizing, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Clinical Research Coordinator A: BS degree and 1-2 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Clinical Research Coordinator B: BS degree and 2-3 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work flexible hours.

Pay
Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education, with a range of $47,313.00 - $53,418.00 annually. Salaries are aligned with external market data and internal peer data at Penn.
