About the role

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Manager of Pediatric Psychology to lead our pediatric behavioral health services. In this role, you will guide a team of skilled psychologists and behavioral health professionals in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of pediatric psychologists, pediatric neuropsychologists, and behavioral health clinicians, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • Oversee daily operations of pediatric psychology services across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Partner with medical and hospital leadership to deliver integrated, patient-centered care
  • Expand and enhance programs supporting patients with chronic illness, developmental conditions, and behavioral health needs
  • Drive quality and performance outcomes, including patient access, experience, and clinical effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and documentation standards
  • Champion a collaborative culture focused on compassion, inclusion, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • M-F 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • No call, No Weekends

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Psychology
  • 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience in psychological evaluations, assessments, psychotherapy, and consultation
  • Experience in program development, management, and effectiveness
  • Experience in managing individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans
  • Experience in providing psychology clinical services to patients and their families
  • Experience in managing operations of the department, integrating services within the work unit and with other departments
  • Experience in acting as a resource and liaison to hospital staff and outside community
  • Experience in developing and coordinating psychology training program
  • Experience in initiating independent and collaborative research initiatives, and disseminating research findings through publications and presentations
