About the role
The Clinical Program Therapist 4 - Substance Use Disorder position at the Minnesota Department of Corrections provides direct licensed therapeutic programming to clients in an alcohol and other drug treatment program. Key responsibilities include assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring and reporting, teaching, training, security, and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct licensed therapeutic programming to clients in an alcohol and other drug treatment program.
- Perform all aspects of program content independently, including assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring and reporting, teaching, training, security, and professional standards.
- Lead work functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Current Minnesota licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., LICSW, LP, LPCC, and LMFT).
- Current licensure by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).
- Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral science program.
- Two (2) years of experience providing behavioral health clinical services, including individual and group therapy.
Qualifications
- Experience providing lead work direction to other behavioral health staff.
- Experience working in a correctional/secured environment.
- Experience providing services to clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Experience providing clinical supervision to other behavioral health staff.
- Experience providing mental health clinical services.
- Commitment to providing culturally competent services, with an ongoing commitment to training, development, and licensure maintenance.
Skills
- Verbal and written communication skills, including proficient documentation skills.
- Interpersonal and human relation skills.
- Ability to provide substance use treatment; formulate and implement treatment plan; and develop a continuing care plan.

Pay
$35.30 - $52.35 / hourly; $73,706 - $109,306 / annually

Day Shift/8 am to 4:30 pm
