Clinical Program Manager, Placer Mental Health

About the Role

Wayfinder’s Specialty Mental Health Program offers therapy to children, youth, adults, and families. Our community-based mental health care focuses on preventative services to build resilient individuals and families. The Clinical Program Manager oversees clinical services provided in the outpatient mental health clinic/specialty mental health service program, including administrative and supervisory responsibilities for assigned Therapists, Child and Family Specialists, and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute policies and procedures and a system of accountability that tracks the quality of service, program budget, relevant documentation, and adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Effectively supervise, evaluate, and direct the work of a diverse group of employees, including timely completion of performance appraisals, regular supervisory meetings, performance documentation, staff development, and supervision for success best practices.
• Manage personnel functions, including recruitment, hiring, retention, and staff discipline.
• Conduct outreach and engagement to recruit youth and families to participate in prevention services.
• Participate in in-service training and on-site workshops as required for professional growth and development.
• Attend external training workshops directed by management.
• Supervise, orient, and evaluate assigned therapists, Child and Family Specialists, and support staff, including providing employee counseling, coaching, training, and assisting with recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of staff.
• Provide regular scheduled weekly individual and group supervision, adhering to all standards of supervision outlined by the Board of Behavioral Science in close partnership with other clinical program managers.
• Participate in weekly supervision and consult weekly with the Associate VP of Clinical Services and programs.
• Provide assistance to assigned supervisees for program issues and crises that may arise, including urgent issues after regular work hours.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Licensure in a mental health discipline recognized by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A minimum of three years of post-graduate clinical experience.
• Successful experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with youth and families with high mental health needs, preferably in a specialty mental health setting.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000.
