Clinical Professor of Pediatrics (Clinician Educator) Division of Neonatology -CHLA

About the Role

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology, are seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Clinical Professor of Pediatrics (Clinician-Educator Track). The selected candidate will provide patient care in the Fetal and Neonatal Institute and its 58-bed, Level IV Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit (NICCU) at CHLA, as well as in a community-based NICU, the site of the Fetal Maternal Center. The role includes participation in the education and mentorship of pediatric residents and neonatal-perinatal fellows through an ACGME-accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship.

The Fetal and Neonatal Institute consists of the CHLA Division of Neonatology, CHLA-USC Fetal Maternal Center, and Newborn Follow-Up Program. The CHLA-USC Fetal Maternal Center is one of the largest fetal diagnosis and fetal intervention centers in the nation.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in the Fetal and Neonatal Institute, including the Level IV NICCU at CHLA and the community-based NICU.
• Participate in the education and mentorship of pediatric residents and neonatal-perinatal fellows.
• Engage in scholarly activities, quality improvement, and collaborative research initiatives through CHLA and USC.

Requirements

• MD or equivalent degree.
• Board certification in Pediatrics.
• Board certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of California.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, education, and scholarly activities.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $158,177–$517,500. When extending an offer of employment, USC considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
