Responsibilities
- Directs Student Academic Advisors who are providing the full range of academic advising to department students and service to department chairs / deans and faculty
- Serve as the School of Nursing liaison with key contacts in over 500 clinical settings.
- Identify and develop potential new clinical site partnerships congruent with the mission and needs of the School.
- Take the lead role in developing, implementing and improving a school-wide pre-clinical placement system for pre-licensure and master’s students.
- Maximize the potential of E-Value as a mechanism for storing preceptor and student information.
- Participates in the development and monitoring of policies and procedures for Student Services operations, and recommends to department management changes in policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) years of relevant experience/or equivalent experience/training.
- Knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
- Knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
- Skills in monitoring / assessing people, processes or services, to make improvements.
- Project management skills.
- Skills in social perceptiveness.
- Abilities in problem identification, reasoning.
- Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
- Ability in persuasion and leadership.
