Clinical Pharmacist III- Pharmacotherapy Clinic (Hybrid)

About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist III Ambulatory Retail Specialty works in a specialized ambulatory or community pharmacy area. Working under moderate supervision, this role provides patient care in their specialty area, engages with providers, pharmacy staff and may supervise patient advocates and/or pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient.
• Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public.
• Supervises and evaluates pharmacy technicians.
• Precepts students and residents.
• Functions at a higher knowledge base and competency and spends the majority of time addressing complex situations or works on project improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharm

Experience

• 6 years

Licensure & Certification

• Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire
• BLS (CPR) — American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
• BCPS or Board Certification in a specialty area
