Responsibilities
- Participates in organizational and departmental performance improvement efforts.
- Attends patient care rounds and provides patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
- Flexes to other areas or alternative scheduling to assist in coverage of supplemental shifts.
- Completes patient-specific medication profile reviews and adjusts doses as necessary.
- Reports medication incidents and adverse drug reactions and participates in medication incident review.
- Supports pharmacy residency programs and provides educational presentations.
Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy in state of primary practice site.
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills
- Excellent interdisciplinary communication skills.
- Strong educational and precepting abilities.

Pay
An average pay period will consist of approximately 75% of shifts in ED, with the remainder being split between the ICU and main pharmacy.
Schedule
Weekends are typically every 4th and include walking interdisciplinary rounds in the ICU in the morning while cross-covering ED.
